                  ABOUT

Podiatry and Foot Health services in Chelmsford

Initially set up by Podiatrist Paul Little and serving the local community for 20 years, Chelmer Footcare is a friendly and professional clinic offering advice on all areas of foot care and treatments to foot conditions including skin, nail and joint problems.  We can advise on and treat diabetes related foot problems. Specialist advice is also offered on many types of sporting footwear and their fitting and modification.  Minor surgical procedures can be carried out under local anaesthesia for curative treatment of problems such as in-growing toenails.

We are based in 2 locations. Great Baddow and Bicknacre.

All Podiatrists at Chelmer Footcare are HCPC Registered and have undertaken a 3-4 year Honours Degree at a recognised school.  A series of professional examinations set in both practical and theoretical disciplines are required. Also, 30 hours of continued professional development training has to be completed every year to keep up to date.  This means that Registered Podiatrists operate under the highest standards and ethical guidelines.

All Foot Health Practitioners are trained and qualified to treat a number of foot related conditions and are encouraged to complete continued professional development training.  Although a Foot Health Practitioner is not a Podiatrist, as a fully insured member of the British Association of Foot Health Professionals, they are bound by a Code of Ethics, set out by the association, and provide a professional service to all patients, focussing on hygiene, safety and comfort.

All practitioners are first aid trained in emergency medical procedures.
